CMM Operator - Goods Inwards / Inspection

Shenstone, Lichfield - Up to £22.50/hr - LTD

Contract Type: 6-month initial contract which could lead to full time employment (£35k-£40k plus healthcare, pension etc)

We are currently seeking a CMM Operator/Inspector to provide additional expertise within our clients Goods Inwards Inspection Laboratory. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation with long-term career prospects and access to further training.

Our client specialises in the design, development and production of high-quality, lightweight rotary engines.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out goods inwards inspection of components and sub-assemblies.
Perform physical audits of assembled engines prior to shipment to customers.
Inspect sub-assemblies and individual components to engineering drawings.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) in line with quality requirements.
Ensure all inspections are completed accurately and documented correctly.
All inspection activities will be conducted in-house.
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in an inspection or quality role (essential).
Experience using Mitutoyo CMMs would be a strong advantage but other CMM manufacturers considered
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Familiarity with First Article Inspection requirements
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection tasks
