Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Production Operative on behalf of our Chesterfield-based client. This is a permanent role for someone with a career focused individual.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

* Work as a supportive and active team member within the department

* Set up, operate and maintain production machines (where trained and authorised)

* Carry out production processes in line with standard operating procedures

* Measure products to ensure compliance with quality standards and safe operating tolerances

* Pack manufactured products ready for dispatch

* Comply with all Health & Safety policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times, including correct use of PPE

* Immediately report hazards, near misses, incidents or unsafe conditions in line with company procedures

* Stop work where there is a genuine safety concern and escalate appropriately

* Carry out basic fault finding on machines and either rectify or report issues as required

* Assist with end-of-shift cleaning and housekeeping duties to 5S standards

* Actively contribute to continuous improvement and lean activities to support operational efficiency and safety

* Work towards and maintain all quality accreditations, reporting any non-compliance or irregularities to the line manager

* Assist in the review and update of work instructions and procedures

* Undertake training and, where competent and authorised, support the training and mentoring of new or existing staff

* Contribute positively to the appraisal process and follow up on agreed actions
