Are you an experienced Production Line Leader, Line Leader, Team Leader or Manufacturing Supervisor looking for your next career move?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Production Line Leader to join a busy and fast-paced operation based in Markham Vale, S44.

This is an exciting temp to perm opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, managing production activity and making sure everything is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The business works across a range of household products, cleaning products and over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products, as well as producing temporary cardboard retail displays for major supermarkets.

The role offers plenty of variety, with teams involved in building, preparing and stocking retail displays on site, ready for delivery to customers. You’ll be responsible for leading your team, maintaining productivity and quality, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.

Shift Patterns & Pay Rates

Rotating shifts 1 week rotation: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm – £14.80 per hour
Temp to perm:
Opportunity to move into a permanent position following a successful temporary period

About the Role

As a Production Line Leader, you will take responsibility for leading and supporting a team across a busy production and fulfilment environment.

You’ll help ensure that products and customer orders are prepared accurately, efficiently and safely, while keeping the team focused on daily targets and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, motivating and supporting production teams to achieve daily targets
Managing teams working across household, cleaning and OTC pharmaceutical products
Supporting the production and preparation of temporary cardboard retail displays
Ensuring retail displays are built correctly and meet customer specifications
Coordinating the on-site stocking of completed displays ready for customer delivery
Maximising productivity and minimising downtime across production activities
Monitoring production performance against KPIs and targets
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Coordinating agency and permanent workers effectively
Ensuring products and displays meet required quality standards
Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, hygiene and GMP
Completing production paperwork and documentation accurately
Using internal systems to monitor performance and maintain records
Supporting the training and development of new starters
Conducting return-to-work meetings where required
Supporting disciplinary processes when necessary
Assisting with audits and continuous improvement projects
Ensuring customer requirements and deadlines are consistently achieved
Promoting a positive, safe and productive working environment

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a confident people leader who can thrive in a fast-paced production environment and keep teams focused on achieving targets.

You’ll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Production Line Leader, Line Leader, Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader or Production Supervisor

Experience with in manufacturing, FMCG, retail fulfilment, packaging, warehouse or production environments
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Experience managing teams against KPIs and production targets
The ability to organise people and workload effectively
Good attention to detail, particularly when working to customer specifications
An understanding of Health & Safety, GMP and workplace hygiene standards
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive approach to problem solving
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A genuine interest in continuous improvement and operational efficiency
