Cnc Miller Programmer Setter Operator

We are currently looking for an experienced and skilled CNC Miller to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Chesterfield. Known for delivering high-quality components to a diverse range of industries, the company invests heavily in modern machinery and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will be working primarily on Hurco milling machines with Hurco control systems, producing precision parts to tight tolerances.

• Set, operate, and program CNC Milling machines using Hurco controls.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Select appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds to optimise machining processes.
• Conduct first-off and in-process quality inspections using standard measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges).
• Make necessary off-set adjustments and carry out routine machine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller with hands-on programming, setting, and operating experience.
• Strong familiarity and confidence working with Hurco control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• A solid understanding of cutting tools, materials, and machining tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output.
• A proactive, reliable work ethic with good problem-solving skills.
