What You’ll Do:- Maintain beautiful public and private spaces: grass cutting, pruning, leaf collection, weeding, and more.
- Operate a range of hand tools, powered equipment, and ride‑on mowers to ensure sites stay looking their best.
- Take pride in keeping Chesterfield’s outdoor spaces pristine and well‑cared‑for, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
- A highly motivated individual with experience in commercial or amenity grounds maintenance.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A passion for maintaining quality environments and delivering exceptional service.
- Knowledge of fine turf surfaces and the technical aspects of grounds maintenance.
- Good plant knowledge or a horticultural qualification (but not essential).
- Experience in towing trailers and holding PA1 & PA6 qualifications.
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance is a plus!

- An Enhanced DBS check is required due to the nature of the role and the responsibility to safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
- This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, so we require you to disclose any unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, or warnings.
