The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a busy transport operation at the heart of a nationwide delivery network. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency across the fleet while maintaining the high service levels expected by a market-leading brand.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily transport operations across a mixed fleet of 30 vehicles.
Lead, support, and develop a team of professional drivers.
Ensure full compliance with O-licence requirements, driver hours, and vehicle maintenance standards.
Work closely with the planning and warehouse teams to optimise routes and delivery performance.
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Champion safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the transport function.

Key Experiences

Proven experience as a Transport Manager or Assistant Transport Manager in a national logistics distribution and supply chain environment
Strong working knowledge of Transport Legislation, Tachograph Regulations, and Driver CPC standards.
Confident people leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
CPC qualification is essential.
