Shift: Days A temporary opportunity is available for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy transport operation in Old Whittington. This role is suited to a reliable and safety-focused driver who takes pride in delivering goods professionally and on time. About the company This Chesterfield-based haulage business provides transport services using a varied fleet of vehicles and trailers.

Its services include general haulage, abnormal-load transport, European haulage, crane-assisted transport and storage, supporting customers with planned and specialist delivery requirements. Key responsibilities
• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly
• Completing local and longer-distance deliveries as required
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys
• Securing loads correctly and reporting any defects or issues
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Following transport, road safety and site procedures
• Communicating professionally with customers and site contacts Skills and qualifications
• Valid HGV Class 1 licence, category C+E
• Driver CPC qualification and a valid digital tachograph card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety and load security
• Good time management and route-planning skills
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
