Daytime and Overnight Caregiver

Right at Home is hiring caregivers to care for clients within Lake and Porter counties in northwest Indiana. Caregivers are essential service providers who support and assist their clients with activities of daily living. Our main goal as an agency is to keep them independent, at home, and out of high-risk nursing facilities.

• Companionship: provide conversation, activities, light housekeeping, run errands, and transport or accompany clients to appointments; assist with medication reminders.
• Personal Care: assist with preparing meals, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, encouraging exercises, and grooming.
• Charting and Reporting: communicate concerns and changes in condition to the care team to support clients’ health and quality of life.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience caring for a senior or adult
• Warmth and compassion for people under your care
• Ability to communicate effectively and perform assigned tasks
• Completion of a criminal background check, BMV check, TB test, and drug screen
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation

• No certification required; however, pay is commensurate for licensed CNA, HHA, and DSP certifications and experience.
