Join us as a Mechanical Process Engineer at Dixon Valve in Chestertown, MD. This role focuses on developing, testing, and implementing CNC programs using CAM software to support production operations. You will analyze workflows, spot opportunities for improvement, and introduce cutting‑edge solutions that boost productivity and reduce waste.
Location: Chestertown, MD
Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
- Design and model jigs, fixtures, and tooling using CAD software.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flow charts that are clear and accessible to production staff.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and address process‑related issues.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate process improvements.
- Train and support manufacturing staff on new processes and best practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators and recommend data‑driven improvements.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Process Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Exceptional technical writing skills with experience creating detailed process documents.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- High proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Solid Works.
- Knowledge of process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and statistical analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within teams.
