CNC Operator Trainee Job Details

Location: Chestertown, MD 21620

Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour

Work Hours: All shifts available

• 1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• 2nd Shift - 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

What You'll Do

• Participate in hands‑on training to learn CNC machine setup and operation.
• Produce metal components according to engineering specifications.
• Learn to identify and correct basic machining issues.
• Gain familiarity with Dixon’s product lines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with your team to ensure smooth and safe production processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or related coursework preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (training provided if needed).
• Comfort using hand tools and applying basic shop math.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of your shift.
• A positive attitude and commitment to working safely.
