Parts Salesperson

Parts Salesperson – Atlantic Tractor, John Deere Dealership, Chestertown, Maryland

Purpose
This position is responsible for selling parts to customers over the counter and providing necessary parts to the service department, including placing special orders for customers. Meet or exceed monthly sales goals, driving sales through aftermarket promotions.

• Promote and sell products and/or services to meet customer needs.
• Supply service technicians with parts as required.
• Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Verify receipt of shipments and assist with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
• Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.
• Follow up on shortages and expedite issues by reporting to the manager.
• Maintain all department tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order.
• Multitask while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Participate in branch and company on-call schedules.
• Lifts items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work with a team or independently.
• Maintain a professional demeanor for the highest level of customer experience.
• Deliver parts to customers using company vehicle as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Participate in occasional monthly branch and company on-call schedules.

• Preferably one year of experience working in a parts department operations.
• Experience with electronic parts catalogs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

The starting hourly rate is $20 - $24 per hour and will be determined based on experience.
