Overview

CHEVYCHASE, MD-A wonderful family is seeking an engaging, responsible, and highly organized Nanny/ Household Assistant to support their active 3.5 year old, 5-year-old and 1.5 year old children in the afternoons. The children have a full-time nanny, so this is truly a collaborative, supportive role. The position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 2 PM to 6 PM, with the option to begin earlier at 11:30 AM on Fridays.

The family is looking for someone who brings warmth, reliability, and creativity to their home while helping to maintain a smooth after-school routine.

The core responsibilities include driving the children to and from their afternoon activities, taking them to the park in between commitments, coordinating and hosting playdates when appropriate, and fostering fun, enriching, and educational activities during downtime. You will also help keep the children’s backpacks, school materials, and after-school items organized and ready for the next day. A family vehicle will be provided for all work-related driving, and all gas expenses will be covered.

While not required, the family is happy to offer higher compensation to candidates who are willing to take on additional support, such as general meal preparation for the children, occasional folding of kids’ laundry, rotating and maintaining the toy organization system already in place, and light household management to keep the home running smoothly. They are also able to guarantee extra hours for candidates open to flexible weekday or weekend evening babysitting.

• BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
• UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
• THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION

• 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
