We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Dental Assistant who takes pride in their work, thinks ahead, and genuinely cares about patients. We don't want someone who simply waits to be told what to do. We want someone who anticipates what needs to happen next and takes initiative to make it happen.
Our ideal candidate is someone who can stay two steps ahead of the doctor, remain calm under pressure, and help create a positive experience for every patient.
What We're Looking For:Clinical Skills & Experience
- Required
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Current Maryland dental radiography certification or other authorization accepted by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners.
- Proficiency in fabricating temporary crowns independently.
- Strong four-handed dentistry skills and ability to anticipate the doctor's next steps.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, procedures, sterilization, and infection control.
You Think Ahead. You anticipate the doctor's needs, prepare for the next step, and help procedures run smoothly without constantly needing instructions.
You Take Initiative. You notice what needs to be done and take action. You don't wait for someone to ask.
You Have Common Sense and Are Resourceful. You solve problems, adapt quickly, and find practical solutions when unexpected situations arise.
You Have Empathy and Excellent People Skills. You know how to communicate with patients, especially those who are anxious, frustrated, or difficult. You can put people at ease while remaining professional and compassionate.
You Stay Calm and Think Quickly. You can handle a busy clinical environment, multitask, and make good decisions under pressure.
You Are Dependable and Punctual. You arrive on time, prepared to work, and ready to contribute to a productive day.
You Bring a Positive Attitude. You understand that your energy affects your coworkers and patients. Even on challenging days, you remain professional and solution-oriented.
You Are a True Team Player. You understand that no task is beneath you. You are willing to help your teammates, whether that means turning over a room, sterilizing instruments, helping another assistant, or supporting the front desk when appropriate.
