Position: Mental Health Therapist - Contract

Mental Health Therapist - Contract role at Embark Behavioral Health

Location: 2 Wisconsin Circle, Suite 230, Chevy Chase, MD 20815

Schedule: Monday –Thursday 11 AM - 7 PM, Friday 9 AM - 5 PM

Position Type: Contract

Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00 an hour

Overview

At Embark Behavioral Health – Chevy Chase, we’re not just offering a job—we’re offering a purpose. Our growing IOP and PHP program in Chevy Chase is seeking passionate, skilled therapists who are ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adolescents and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans centered on client needs.
  • Provide parent coaching and maintain consistent family communication.
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliance with Maryland regulations.
  • Collaborate on discharge planning and outcome tracking.
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of care.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-based clinical culture that values compassion and results.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active Maryland licensure or eligibility for one of the following:
    • LMSW, LGPC, LGMFT (Associate/Provisional)
    • LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT (Fully Licensed)
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in an outpatient, IOP, or PHP setting.
  • Experience using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
  • Passion for working with adolescents, young adults, and families.
  • Strong clinical documentation and diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with outcome-based treatment planning and assessments.
  • Willingness to obtain a CAQH profile and NPI during onboarding.
