Client Relationship Management, Customer Success Management
Data Drone builds 0-1 SaaS products and the team that ships them. No bosses, no managers — the playbook manages, the copilot tracks. Every role owns a small, defined space with extreme accountability. Closing the deal is only half the win. Activating the client — every outlet live, every staff member trained, the product running at gold standard — is the other half.
That's this role.
You’ll take signed enterprise deals and turn them into activated clients. A 25-outlet deal means 25 outlets to provision, train, and activate. You’ll manage the client relationship from signature to gold standard — coordinating system provisioning, running outlet activations, managing staff training, and communicating proactively throughout.
Daily Rhythm (How You Operate)- At intake: validate Sales handoffs before accepting — reject incomplete handoffs with specifics.
- Daily: track every active onboarding milestone (each account is 15-25 milestones) and intervene on any stalled outlet by Day 7, not Day 21.
- Weekly: send proactive client updates — clients never ask "what's happening?" because you already told them.
- Per milestone: coordinate provisioning with Tech Ops, run staff training, and celebrate the win.
- At completion: hand off activated clients to Client Success with full context.
- Validate Sales handoffs before accepting — reject incomplete handoffs with specifics
- Manage enterprise onboarding end-to-end — from signed deal to gold standard
- Coordinate outlet provisioning with Enterprise Tech Ops
- Manage staff training and system adoption at every outlet
- Communicate proactively with clients — weekly updates, milestone celebrations, issue escalation
- Hand off activated clients to Client Success with full context
- Maintain the Enterprise Onboarding Playbook and Franchise Rollout playbook
- You’ve onboarded B2B clients in a multi-stakeholder environment. Not just "set up an account" — managed a rollout across locations, teams, or departments.
- You can manage multiple concurrent onboardings without dropping details. Each account is 15-25 milestones. You track them all.
- You communicate proactively. Clients never ask "what's happening?" because you already told them.
- You can train non-technical staff to use a product. Patient, clear, and structured — not "just ."
- You catch problems early. A stalled outlet at Day 7 is an intervention. At Day 21 it's a crisis. You intervene at Day 7.
- You document everything in CRM. Conversations, promises, issues, milestones — all recorded.
- Experience with multi-location business onboarding (franchise, retail chain, hospitality group)
- Experience with CRM-driven onboarding workflows
- Experience with staff training at scale (multiple locations, multiple sessions)
- Experience with SaaS product activation — driving proof‑moment / time‑to‑value metrics
- Activation, not setup. "The account is provisioned" is not done. "Every outlet is live and producing at gold standard" is done.
- Proactive, not reactive. The client should never wonder what's happening. You tell them before they ask.
- Every outlet is an individual. A 25‑outlet deal is not one onboarding — it's 25. Track each one. One stalled outlet hidden in the aggregate is your failure.
- Catch it at the door. An incomplete Sales handoff caught at intake saves 3 weeks of confusion. Reject with specifics. Don't accept and figure it out later.
- Celebrate milestones. First outlet live. First adoption milestone. Gold standard reached. Momentum is built through recognition.
- Document, don't remember. If you're the only person who knows what's happening with an account, the onboarding is fragile.
- 30 Days — Playbooks read. Past onboardings reviewed. First onboarding started or shadowed. Handoff chain understood.
- 90 Days — Multiple onboardings completed. Process repeatable. Playbook updated. Growth Lead trusts onboarding runs clean.
You won't manage onboardings that stall because nobody owns them. You won't hand clients a login and hope they figure it out. You'll own the full activation — from signed deal to gold standard — with clear playbooks, system support, and a team that cares about the outcome as much as you do.
5 hours of focused onboarding work per day. Every activated client is visible proof that your work matters.
