Responsibilities
  • Engages current Commercial Customers as needed to ensure pre & post press requirements for printing, packaging, mailing and shipping meet the customer’s needs and expectations and assist with any new needs the customer may have.
  • Active in Commercial Sales, making calls and arranging in-person meetings with potential web & digital print customers to increase our client base. These duties will be shared with the Commercial Print Manager.
  • Assist Prepress & Commercial Print Manager – Acting as a backup to cover current managers’ PTO and when sales calls are being made.
  • Assist in digital printing operations and maintaining Konica digital printers.
  • Proof new commercial print publications on press start-ups assuring folios, dates, page sequencing, advertising and editorial content is complete and meets customers’ expectations.
  • Assist with invoicing commercial & digital customers assuring customer charges are correct before invoices are sent out to the customer.
  • Review customer files for technical issues (fonts, bleeds, color profiles, resolution, etc.) and make necessary adjustments.
  • Output press‑ready PDFs and digital proofs according to production specifications.
  • Operate and maintain prepress software and RIP systems (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Fiery).
  • Perform basic graphic design tasks such as resizing ads, updating text or images, or creating simple layouts.
Position Details
  • Part Time Pre‑Press 25 Hrs. / Wk.

Hours M‑F 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Qualifications Required
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Basic understanding of print production processes (CMYK vs. RGB, bleeds, resolution, paper types, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to catch layout or color inconsistencies.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and manage multiple projects.
Preferred
  • Associate’s degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Print Technology, or related field.
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency with computers; comfortable learning new software and workflows.
  • Experience with prepress or digital printing software (e.g., RIPs, imposition tools).
  • Familiarity with proofing standards and color management workflows.

Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. (paper, materials, etc.).
  • Standard production or office environment.
