As a Literacy Instructional Coach with Bailey Education Group in Wyoming/Nebraska, your day is dedicated to empowering educators and enhancing literacy outcomes through research-driven strategies rooted in the Science of Reading. You'll begin by partnering with teachers and school leaders in local schools, whether in Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney, Ogallala, or surrounding areas. Your day includes conducting classroom observations, modeling effective teaching techniques, and providing real-time feedback to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned reading instruction.
You'll also guide teams in analyzing assessment data to identify student needs and refine instructional practices. Your customized coaching approach fosters strong relationships with educators, celebrates their successes, and bolsters their confidence and skills.
As your day winds down, you might offer virtual support to a rural school or prepare for upcoming visits. Each day presents new challenges, yet your impactful work ensures students develop the foundational literacy skills essential for their future success.
Would you be a great Literacy Teacher ?To thrive as a Literacy Instructional Coach at Bailey Education Group in Wyoming/Nebraska, candidates must possess a deep understanding of early literacy development and be well-versed in evidence-based practices aligned with the Science of Reading, such as phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Familiarity with Nebraska's English Language Arts standards and early reading assessment tools like DIBELS, Acadience, and MAP is crucial for effective instruction.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to analyze student data, supporting tiered interventions through informed instructional practices.
Experience in coaching and mentoring educators is essential, as is the capability to model lessons, facilitate planning sessions, and provide constructive feedback. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are necessary for building trust with teachers and school leaders. Additionally, organizational skills to manage multiple coaching assignments, along with proficiency in technology and virtual platforms, will enhance the coaching experience in diverse educational settings across Wyoming.
