Job Overview

We are prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor who manifests the qualities of an Elder as listed in the Bible (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9). We seek a gifted and experienced Discipleship Pastor who can lead worship, preach and teach effectively, and provide pastoral counseling when necessary. This person must have a pastor’s heart and a desire to develop qualified lay-leaders to participate and lead in ministries overseen by the Pastor of Discipleship and Worship.

The role includes:

Meadowbrooke’s worship and A/V ministries are integral to our services. We desire a candidate who believes that congregational songs should be theologically sound and culturally relevant, incorporating scripture, prayer, and other mediums to deepen understanding of God.

Preaching and teaching are vital  Pastor of Discipleship and Worship will share in preaching, with the Lead Pastor preaching no more than 40 Sundays annually, and the Discipleship and Worship Pastor preaching 8-12 Sundays, with worship team leading on those Sundays.

The Discipleship Pathway is a developing system including Life Groups, a future recovery group, and a 4-week Partnership Pathway. Our goal is to foster active disciple-makers who prayerfully engage their communities with the gospel.

Both the Pastor of Discipleship and Worship and the Lead Pastor will oversee the development of Young Adult ministries and a lay-led Youth Ministry requiring some pastoral oversight.

The candidate must be an active church member, meet Elder qualifications, and ideally have completed Bible college or seminary, be ordained or seeking ordination, experienced in worship leadership, skilled in A/V, and capable of preaching, teaching, and pastoral counseling.
