Electrical Engineer with Cloud Data Center Experience

Pay Range: $90-$100/hr

Note: MANDATORY experience working with Hyperscalers - often referred to as cloud data centers , demonstrating the ability to handle complex, high-volume construction programs

• Projects may be located across multiple sites including Boydton VA, South Hill VA, Clarksville VA, Ashburn VA, Manassas VA, Richmond VA, Raleigh NC, Atlanta GA, Cheyenne WY, Des Moines IA, San Antonio TX, Johnstown OH, Chicago IL, Goodyear AZ, Quincy WA, San Jose CA, Reno NV, and Seattle WA.
• Professional Engineering license preferred (PE/RPEE).
• The Construction Engineering Manager will provide on-site leadership for mechanical OR electrical engineering on hyperscale data centre projects (new build or retrofit). This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to design and quality standards. The manager will coordinate closely with contractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Hyperscale clould data center experience is required.

• Lead on-site mechanical or electrical engineering for data center construction projects.
• Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and vendor shop drawings to verify compliance.
• Verify installations meet project specifications.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Support commissioning, submittal review, and technical documentation.
• Identify and resolve engineering or construction issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to drive successful execution.
• Maintain safety-first and quality-focused culture on-site.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of construction engineering experience, including field experience.
• Hyperscale data center construction experience is mandatory.
• Ability to read, interpret, and validate construction drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Project.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-sufficient and capable of leading projects and managing contractors.
