Project EngineerProject GeologistEnvironmental Scientist

RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company seeks a project engineer, project geologist or environmental scientist in our Cheyenne, Wyoming location. The primary responsibility of this individual will be to provide a combination of engineering support services, as well as construction inspection and quality assurance/quality control services specific to mine reclamation. Travel will be associated with this position.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in either engineering (civil, environmental, mining), geology, or environmental science
• 3 to 5 years of experience in abandoned mine lands related work with at least 1 year in the construction management field
• Experience in ArcGIS Pro Software and other Esri products (field maps, ArcGIS Online)
• A solid understanding of landscape and grading construction
• Experience with topographic surveying and mapping techniques
• Ability to provide construction oversight, inspections and any related documentation, and capable in the writing of construction specifications
• Ability to travel and perform investigation/inspections of abandoned mine related features
• Ability to operate All Terrain-Vehicles / Utility Terrain-Vehicles
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel

• Experience in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD 3D software applications
• Familiarity of Carlson Civil Suite and Natural Regrade software
