• Training period: comprehensive 10-week training period - 8 weeks in the field working side by side with dedicated trainer & 2 weeks classroom-based training in Loveland, CO.
• 3 days off per week! After completion of training, your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10-hour days based on workload demand.

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e., drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e., power plants and food and beverage plants).

This position is part of the North America Field Service Team
, based in Cheyenne, Wyoming (or within a two-hour radius) and will be remote.

• Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
• Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
• Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
• Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.
• Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc. Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division
  2) *
• 50-75% travel within a 2-hour radius of Cheyenne, WY. You can expect to have up to 1-3 nights away each week with company-paid accommodations and meals.

• HS Diploma required;
  Associates/Technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair
• 2 or more years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
• You have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record required.

• This position requires daily travel to customer sites.
• Occasional travel to other states within the region is expected.
• This position requires occasional rental of vehicles for business travel. A valid driver's license and the ability to rent a car under the applicable state law is required.
