Required Skills
Network Engineer, Deployment & Support Responsibilities:
Deployment, configuration, and management of all network infrastructure on our datacenter campusWork with partner teams and vendors to manage day‑to‑day operations and reliability of the regional networkSchedule and perform maintenance including upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of production networksCreate deployment packages and maintain as‑built documentation and asset database for installed network gearEstablish and implement global best practices and contribute to the design of new scalable network solutionsSupport the development, testing and integration of new hardware and software platforms into the networkParticipate in an on‑call rotation to support the regional network infrastructure 24x710% of travel required, up to 30% based on projectsMinimum Qualifications
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining MetaBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience4+ years of networking experience with designing, deploying, and supporting service provider, data center, and/or enterprise network infrastructureExperience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocolsWorking knowledge of network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS)Working knowledge with tooling and automation support for network deployment & operations across infrastructure environmentsFamiliarity with the Linux based systems and experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl)Experience working in a multi‑vendor environment with hands‑on experience with networking hardwareWorking knowledge of physical infrastructure design including structured cabling and fiber‑optic cablingProven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against mission critical deadlinesProven experience working in a global team environment and solving problems with limited supervisionHands‑on experience with enterprise and carrier class routing, switching, and optical transport platformsKnowledge of data center design and operational best practicesKnowledge analyzing situations and utilizing problem solving experiences under pressureProven experience leading and executing network deployment projectsKnowledge working with limited supervisionKnowledge interacting with vendors and external parties to drive projects to completionTime and project management experiencePreferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of OTN– CWDM, DWDM and optical transport network technologiesExperience with field‑based work in Data Centers, Colocation Facilities, Internet Exchanges, or Central OfficesWorking knowledge of data center power and cooling infrastructure and critical facility operational best practicesTechnical leadership and people management experiencePublic Compensation
$50.48/hour to $156,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
