Job Description & How to Apply Below
As Event Manager, you lead event night. For many of our non-profit clients, this one event funds their entire year, so expectations are high. Working alongside our Tech Supervisor, you make sure every dollar raised through auctions, paddle raisers and special appeals is accurately recorded and collected, following AES policies and procedures.
You won’t be doing it alone. An AES event planner supports you before the event, and an onsite AES team helps with setup, check-in, network monitoring and checkout.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Oversee all event night functions: registration, silent and live auctions, paddle raisers and checkout.
- Work directly with non-profit executives, event planners and other event professionals.
- Ensure all donations are accurately recorded and collected according to AES procedures.
- Lead the AES onsite team and set the standard for conduct and professionalism.
- Make sure all equipment is collected, counted and packed correctly at the end of the night to prevent damage and loss.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills and a polite, people-friendly approach.
- Comfort working closely with executive-level clients.
- Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
- Strong time management and a professional, friendly, helpful attitude.
- A neat, professional appearance.
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pick up and drop off event equipment at our south Littleton location
- Ability to service the Denver Metro as well as potentially some southern Wyoming and/or mountain events
- Trade school or college education.
- Project management and supervisory experience.
Don’t know some of these yet? That’s okay. We provide training where noted.
- Everyday software: Microsoft Office and Windows (proficiency expected)
- Event software: AES internal software and the UReader platform on Samsung Galaxy tablets (training provided)
- Hardware: Network switches and LAN setup, Samsung tablets, Brother printers and Netgear Nighthawk Wi-Fi (training available)
Successful candidates receive paid, on-the-job training, both in our office and onsite at live events.
