This position serves as a critical member of our Logistics Section, helping to support critical missions around Wyoming, particularly related to the equipment associated with the Regional Emergency Response Teams (RERT), Bomb Squads, and logistical needs of the WOHS agency. This position helps to ensure that Wyoming local resources are organized, equipped, and ready to respond both across the county and potentially state lines to communities in crisis.
This position would also be tasked with assisting in the development of the Type and Kind Project under the guidance of the Logistics Section Chief. Basic responsibilities will include management of tracking software relative to information for capabilities in support of the WY Office of Homeland Security.

- This position serves as a critical member of our Logistics Section, helping to support critical missions With WOHS leadership, help coordinate the support and reporting relating to the CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive) needs via the Wyoming Regional Emergency Response Teams (RERT) (8 geographically dispersed teams) and their complement Bomb Squads around the state.
- Support the Preventive Radiological/Nuclear Detection (PRND) program strategy to help ensure local communities' Regional Emergency Response Teams (RERTs) or other entities understand the program, develop local capabilities as desired and have the appropriate equipment necessary to fulfill a mission at local special events.
- Assist Radiological Program Manager in maintaining the state's capability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from an incident involving radioactive and/or nuclear materials, to include weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
- Responsible for researching capacity needs, identifying, locating, and procuring appropriate resources/inventory to ensure WOHS is prepared to respond to an emergency or disaster. Calculate, track and document equipment costs and equipment work time while equipment, vehicles and personnel are deployed. Research costs, locate vendors, and obtain bids for expendable materials and equipment. Provide decision-making expertise for asset and material acquisition.
- Support WOHS logistical processes, particularly as it relates to building response level capabilities across Wyoming.
- Performs as duty officer per agency guidelines. During periods when the State Response Coordination Center (SRCC) is open, performs logistics function duties as prescribed by the Logistics Section Chief or the SRCC Manager.
- Stands ready for extended field deployment, sometimes in austere conditions. Participates in exercises and assists as needed.
Hazardous Materials response, radiological or nuclear experience, or emergency services support and response.
Knowledge- Knowledge of chemical, biological, nuclear, and explosive hazards including incident response, threat management, and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) preparedness.
