Next Care Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Radiology Technologist or Limited Scope Radiology Technician who thrives in a fast-paced setting and works well in a team. Responsibilities- Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in Next Care Policies and Procedures, as well as the state appropriate Radiation Rules and Regulations.
- Assists provider with exams (including patient vitals), procedures and other processes related to direct patient care under direct supervision of the Provider and within the scope of practice of a Medical Assistant.
- Administers all forms of medications per policy and Provider direction and adheres to all safety protocols and procedures for medication administration.
- May be responsible for urine collection for various testing to include employer drug screens
- May perform splinting and casting
- Conducts various types of physicals such as sports physicals
- Performs other related duties specific to urgent care such as wound care and oxygen administration.
- Notifies the provider on duty promptly of all unusual patient occurrences including medication events on an incident report.
- Promptly notifies the Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
- Follows guidelines and requirements of laboratory and clinical accreditation policies.
- Must be proficient in EMR/EHR
- Performs other related duties as assigned or described by Company policy.
The X-Ray Tech supports the organization with customer service and treats all patients with respect and dignity, providing patient care services to meet the specific needs of the patient.
Essential Education, Experience And SkillsEducation: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent;
AND diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school and/or equivalent experience.
License: Current State Radiology Certification OR National Radiology License
Certification: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety
