Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM

• 24-bed stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 during day shifts and 1:4-5 during night shifts

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS preferred)

• Must have experience with pre/post cardiac procedures including stents, pacemakers, ICDs, CABG, and vascular procedures

• Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including pre/post cardiac procedures, femoral and radial procedures, heart catheterizations, cardioversions, cardiothoracic surgeries, post-thoracotomy patients, CABGs, stents, post PCIs, vascular procedures, NSTEMI, trachs with home vents, trachs with BiPAP and CPAP, and chest tubes

• Titrate various drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, and integrilin (dopamine and dobutamine are non-titratable)

• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and home vents

• Monitor techs handle all monitoring, measuring, and documenting

• Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month

• Holiday rotation required covering 6 main holidays (New Year's, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day, Labor Day)

• May float to other units as part of permanent staff rotation

• No call or standby requirements

• Navy blue scrubs required

• 2-3 shift orientation period

• Use EPIC charting system

• Must live at least 25 miles from facility location

• Block scheduling and self-scheduling options available
