• Load and unload material for inbound or outbound trucks; move, log, organize, and catalogue material; pick material for production jobs
• Handle materials including rail, castings, plates and other materials such as bolts and MRO items arriving via flatbed, van, or rail car
• Unload, receive, inspect, label and put away incoming materials
• Pull parts and make "kits" for production areas
• Move materials throughout the shop and yard area as needed
• Package parts for shipment using hand tools, shrink wrap, banding, crating and palletizing equipment
• Coordinate shipment of outgoing finished products and load flatbeds, vans, and rail cars
• Perform routine maintenance and cleanup of the yard area
• Follow work orders, pick lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documents; calculate weight of parts and shipments
• Read and follow production schedules; safely operate forklift, John Deere payloader, and Track mobile locomotive rail car mover
• Able to work with little supervision; adhere to Nortrak s Safety, Quality, and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or climbing
• Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Regularly lift and move up to 10–15 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 pounds
• Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; hearing abilities related to the job

• High School graduate or GED preferred
• Forklift and Crane certification preferred
• Ability to read work orders, pick lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents
• Basic mathematical calculation experience (adding/subtracting whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
• Experience with material handling and operating forklift is an asset
