Associate​/Children’s Minister Searchlights Church

About Us

Searchlights Church is just over 1 year old and growing. We currently are looking to take on staff to accommodate the growth and have a need for the right person to lead our kids ministry. We have an awesome foundation already built by volunteers, but we are in need of someone who can pour into it full time and take it to the next level.

We are looking to hire a Children’s Minister who has experience running a healthy Children’s Ministry or has experience overseeing Children’s Ministry. This role would be (for now) part time in Children’s Ministry (due to being a portable church right now) and would include other responsibilities such as administrative help, volunteer oversight, preaching (if qualified), depending upon the qualifications of the candidate.

This is a role to grow into and lean on the strengths of the person, not try to get as much out of the candidate as you can and burn them out. We are a church who is doing things other churches are not because we have been able to start the culture from scratch. We want to continue to do so and continue to try new things and be a church that is fulfilling to serve at and work at, not a place that has constant turnaround rates.

• Lead and develop a healthy Children’s Ministry and oversee Children’s Ministry operations.
• Provide administrative support and volunteer oversight.
• Deliver preaching if qualified.
• Collaborate with church leadership to grow the ministry, adjust to portable church needs, and implement innovative programs.

• Experience running a Children’s Ministry or overseeing Children’s Ministry.
• Ability to work in a part-time role with potential for growth into full-time responsibilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; experience with volunteer management.
• Willingness to contribute to a culture that is fresh and mission-driven.
