Travel Sales Advisor – AAA Mountain West Group

Full‑time, onsite, 5 days a week position at AAA Cheyenne.

Competitive hourly base plus commissions; this role is subject to an incentive compensation plan. Top performers may earn up to $38,000 annually in incentives.

• Sells International & Domestic vacation packages, cruises, tours, hotels, car rental, rail and air travel
• Researches, evaluates and compares AAA travel partner packages to match member needs
• Stays current with world events and travel industry developments and trends to provide relevant information to members
• Processes and interprets travel documents and informs members of governmental requirements
• Initiates contact with members and past customers to prospect for new business and encourages repeat business
• Cross‑sells products and services (e.g., insurance, new membership accounts)

• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, etc.) and industry‑specific applications (Galileo, VAX, etc.)
• GDS experience required (Apollo, Galileo, Travelport)
• Knowledge of travel products and worldwide geography; ability to read and interpret maps and brochures
• Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to listen to members’ needs
• Bilingual communication skills a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of recent experience selling international and domestic travel services (preferred)
• Travel Institute certification (CTA, CTC, or CTIE) preferred

• Works in an office environment at a desk or computer workstation for extended periods
• May travel by car, plane, or other transportation for business meetings or conferences
• Approximately 70–80% of time spent on the job involves use of a personal computer
