Security Officer; Commercial, Cleared Security Clearance

Overview

Security Officer (Commercial, Cleared) with Security Clearance – Paragon Systems Inc.

• Control access to the client site; screen visitors and client employees efficiently and expedite admittance.
• Monitor entrances and exits; prevent unapproved entry; operate gate and remote access devices; direct individuals who create a disturbance.
• Patrol the assigned site on foot or in vehicle; inspect for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; set up barriers and signage; provide direction or information to others.
• Prepare logs or reports as required for the site; write or type reports or enter information in a computer using standard grammar; inspect security control logs and take action as required.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel, or public safety authorities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents following procedures established for the site, by the company, and/or through training or certification.
• Ensure all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards; identify client products or materials among items carried by client employees or visitors.

• United States citizenship preferred.
• Secret Government clearance required.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D; related security experience preferred.
• Must meet and continue to meet certification requirements for Basic Life Support, CPR/AED, and First Aid.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills in writing and speaking; courteous telephone manner.
• Ability to maintain professional composure and adapt to changes in the external environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently; basic keyboarding and computer usage skills.
• Must be able to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

• Up to $4,000 sign‑on / relocation bonus.
• Meal and housing allowance through the end of the year.
