Position: Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Reports To: Project Foreman / Superintendent / Project Manager
Loenbro Industrial Services is looking to hire Journeyman Electricians for industrial construction projects throughout the US. This will be a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety and have experience in the heavy industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.
Job Duties- Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
- Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Up‑dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management.
- Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one‑line drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
- Work with and train apprentices on the job.
- Iowa, Nebraska OR Wyoming licensed electricians preferred. Licensed electricians with reciprocal licensing also preferred.
- Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in instrumentation and industrial electrical system.
- Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls.
- Must be dependable, work hard and willing to put in the hours needed.
- Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be willing to submit to pre‑employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
- Basic computer knowledge is required.
- Outside most of the time.
- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
- Limited working surfaces.
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
- Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1‑50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
- If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
- Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day, Standing.
- Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Use of respirator if position requires.
- Driving if required to travel.
