Utility Locate Technician $20-$30/hr Cheyenne, Wyoming

ELM Utility Services is hiring a Utility Locate Technician in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Technicians play a critical role in ensuring safe and reliable gas, electric, and communication systems by accurately locating underground utilities to prevent damage during excavation.

• Company vehicle, fuel card, and cell phone are provided for daily use.

• Work independently outdoors using the company-provided vehicle as a mobile office, completing a route of locate requests each day.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and occasionally whiskers.
• Use the mobile work system to receive daily tasks.

• Pass a pre‑employment drug, motor vehicle record, and background check.
• This is a safety‑sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Use of marijuana (medical or recreational) remains prohibited.
• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
