ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Performs complex duties in repair, maintenance, and installation of plumbing systems and backflow prevention devices.
  • Recommends energy‑saving changes.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs fire sprinkler and irrigation systems.
  • Oversees operation of steam boiler plants.
  • Works with engineers/contractors on new system design, troubleshooting, testing, and startup.
  • Follows plumbing codes and regulations to ensure inspections pass.
PREFERENCES

Preference for candidates with a Journeyman Plumber license plus licensed backflow prevention testing and fire sprinkler system experience.

KNOWLEDGE
  • Plumbing system maintenance and repairs
  • State and local plumbing codes
  • Multiple source heating & hydronic systems and applications
  • Accepted practices, methods, and tools for installing, monitoring, and repairing plumbing equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:

    Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience:

    0‑1 year of progressive plumbing experience, or 3‑4 years of progressive plumbing experience as substitution.
  • Certificates, licenses, registrations:
    None
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Work outside in all weather conditions
  • Work in tight, confined spaces
  • Work comfortably at a variety of heights
  • Walk great distances throughout the facility
