Service Technician Speed Wireless Internet serving Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming

Location: Cheyenne, WY

Vistabeam is a growing telecommunications provider delivering reliable high-speed internet, voice, and networking services to residential and business customers.

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Service Technician who enjoys hands-on work, solving technical problems, and helping keep customers connected.

The Service Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, programs, and realigns internet and electronic transmission equipment.

This position is ideal for individuals with strong technical aptitude who are comfortable working in the field and want to continue developing their skills in broadband, wireless, fiber, and IP networking technologies.

• Install and maintain internet equipment, including wireless radios, routers, fiber ONTs, network switches, and cabling.
• Install cabling and equipment in accordance with NEC low-voltage standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and program Vistabeam-owned and customer-owned electronic transmission equipment.
• Perform equipment realignments and service adjustments to maintain reliable customer connectivity.
• Provide Tier 2 technical support for field network technicians.
• Collaborate with managers, engineering personnel, and the network team on infrastructure and special projects.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service work.
• Comply with CPNI (Customer Proprietary Network Information) requirements to protect customer information.
• Follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and technical standards.
• Perform additional field and operational duties as assigned.

• Technical Aptitude: Strong desire to learn IP networking, broadband technologies, and telecommunications equipment.
• Physical Ability: Ability to climb A-frame and extension ladders up to two stories and safely perform rooftop work.
• Equipment Operation: Ability to safely operate a bucket truck when required.
• Work Environment: Ability to safely perform field work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
• Safety: Ability to follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures while maintaining high-quality workmanship standards.
• Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical and connectivity issues.
• Communication: Strong communication and customer service skills when working with customers and team members.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Experience installing or troubleshooting broadband internet equipment.
• Knowledge of wireless networking and point-to-point or point-to-multipoint systems.
• Experience working with fiber-optic internet equipment and ONTs.
• Understanding of IP networking, routers, switches, and structured cabling.
• Previous telecommunications, ISP, low-voltage, or field service experience.

Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
