• Is patient, dependable, organized, and comfortable guiding a group of children
• Available for after-school classes between 3:00-5:00 PM, plus setup and cleanup.
• Available for camps from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, with possible additional hours for before- and after-camp care
• Has reliable transportation to travel to program locations
• Can lift and carry supplies weighing 20-25 lbs.
• Can provide teaching references.
• Must pass a background check.

On-the-job training is provided, and you can start immediately.

Description

About the Role

Lead science experiments and cooking activities in a welcoming, engaging environment. This role requires a bubbly, outgoing personality, patience, and the ability to support children with different personalities, learning styles, and energy levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach hands-on science and culinary lessons using our provided curriculum.
• Explain concepts and demonstrate activities in clear, age-appropriate ways.
• Keep students engaged and set consistent expectations for listening, participation, and respectful behavior.
• Encourage every child to participate and adapt instruction to individual needs.
• Follow safety procedures, including food handling, allergy precautions, and proper use of equipment.
• Prepare materials and assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of supplies.
• Communicate professionally with families, school partners, and team members.
• Arrive on time and ready to teach.
