Part-time Bookkeeper

Our client, a locally based Charity organisation are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team, 3 days a week, in Chichester, West Sussex.

The role will involve supporting the finance function for all entities within the charity, providing bookkeeping and administrative support for various trusts.

• Financial Management and accounting; maintenance of full and accurate records
• Balance sheet reconcilations
• Preparation of annual budgets
• Preparation of annual accounts for all legal entities
• Preparation and presentation of quarterly variance reports
• Preparation and presentation of quarterly management accounts
• Maintaining staff payroll and pension records
• Secretarial and Charity compliance governance
• Administrative support, including preparing fundraising information to the trust teams as required

You will ideally have a strong UK bookkeeping background and hold a professional qualification such as AAT Level 3/4. Experience of Charity Commission compliance, as well as payroll and pensions accounting would be desirable.

A good working knowledge of accounting software such as Quick Books and Xero would also be an advantage.
