Associate Lecturer in ESOL – Crawley College Campus

Chichester College Group offers a bank basis role for an Associate Lecturer in ESOL with a competitive salary of £26.85 – £41.87 per hour.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced ESOL lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching to adults and 16–19‑year‑olds. This flexible role allows you to accept work assignments at your convenience.

In this role you will plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that help learners from varied backgrounds and abilities improve their English proficiency and achieve their personal, educational and employment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
  • Ensure appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken promptly.
  • Administer and provide reports and statistics on student and teaching matters.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, taking into account literacy, numeracy, equality and diversity.
  • Understand personal responsibilities in relation to safeguarding.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with current issues, changes and policies in the education sector.
  • Participate proactively in meetings and training, as agreed with the curriculum area.
  • Deliver ESOL Skills for Life qualifications in Reading, Speaking & Listening and Writing modules.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in ESOL teaching.
  • Relevant ESOL teaching and assessment experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups.
  • Time‑management, organisational skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines.
