Role SummaryYou will support the Pension Administration business with the timely and efficient management of outstanding debts, optimizing cashflow and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
This is a hybrid position where you will work from the Chichester Aptia office, as well as from your home address. It’s a 6‑month contract role.
Responsibilities- Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring overdue debts are chased in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate with clients and customers regarding outstanding balances, set up payment plans where necessary, and ensure a high level of customer service.
- Partner with offshore team in India to reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or issues related to outstanding invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and payments, providing regular reports on the status of outstanding debts to senior management.
- Assist in reviewing and setting appropriate credit limits for new and existing clients.
- Support the wider finance team in ensuring cash flow targets are met and help to optimise working capital.
- Establish efficient and effective processes for the Credit Control team.
- Experience in a credit control role, ideally within a financial services or pension administration business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive client conversations professionally.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, with a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and credit control systems.
- Institute of Credit Management qualification (full or part) preferred, but working towards one is acceptable.
- Familiarity with pension administration and associated financial processes is an advantage but not essential.
