Job/DepartmentSummary
Under general instruction, the incumbent provides a full range of administrative, clerical, and general office support functions that are moderately complex to a large academic department. Responsibilities include support for the School of Education, Department Administrative Support Coordinator (ASC II), faculty staff, and faculty and include handling student inquiries, answering phones, and providing various types of clerical support as needed. The incumbent also serves as the field placement administrative support.
Day‑to‑day work is performed relatively independently with general instructions except for new assignments.
This position requires the candidate to be proficient in performing most or all work assignments. Competencies include coordinating and prioritizing many different clerical tasks, applying and communicating policies and procedures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program or its equivalent and two years of recent experience in an office environment.
Preferences- Three years of experience in an office environment.
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
Time Base: Full‑time
Pay Plan: 11/12 (July off)
Work Schedule: Mon‑Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm;
Summer:
Mon‑Thurs 7:00 am–5:30 pm
CSU Classification Salary Range: $39,216 (Step
1) – $56,016 per year (Step 20)
