Salary:
Salary commensurate with education and experience. (Anticipated hiring range: $7,127 - $15,211 per month).

Minimum Qualifications- Master’s Degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution. Candidates nearing completion of the terminal degree may be considered; however, all requirements for conferral of the degree must be met no later than the start date of the position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disciplinary terminology and familiarity with the latest methods used in health sciences or community services related research and scholarly publishing.
- Experience in teaching or providing health sciences or community services research assistance in a library, medical, or other related environment. Teaching experience accrued as a graduate student will be considered.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
The Health Sciences and Community Services Librarian will provide information literacy instruction, in-depth research consultations, and reference service to faculty, undergraduates, and master’s students in both face-to-face and online environments. This position will collaborate and contribute to the development, delivery, and assessment of library instructional and outreach services and will work in a collaborative setting to improve teaching, learning, and inclusivity at the Meriam Library.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Serve as the liaison to health sciences and community services programs, including the School of Nursing, Public Health & Health Services Administration, Child Development, and the School of Social Work.
- Provide instruction, faculty consultation, and student research assistance to liaison departments and programs.
- Meet research, publication, and service requirements to attain tenure.
- Work with other librarians to develop and implement information literacy instruction across disciplines.
- Develop shared instructional materials in a variety of formats.
- Pursue outreach efforts to engage the students and academic community.
- Engage in collection development activities in assigned subject areas.
- Participate in shared reference, consultation, and related activities.
