Position Summary
Commercial Credit Analyst I or II at Tri Counties Bank
We are looking for a Commercial Credit Analyst to join our team. The analyst will conduct credit analysis on commercial loans, including statement spreading, tax return analysis, covenant management, and preparation of underwriting forms. The analyst will also support reporting, control functions, and present findings to Commercial Underwriters.
Salary range: $27.50–$36.00 hourly, with incentive opportunities. Total compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Major Responsibilities- Input historical financial information to determine trends, repayment capability, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze key factors such as industry, management, and economic trends.
- Work effectively in a deadline‑oriented environment.
- Order business and personal credit reports on business principals.
- Maintain and coordinate covenant management responsibilities for assigned region.
- Keep a log of maturing lines and coordinate renewal processes.
- Monitor past‑due loans and recommend action, contacting customers as needed. Maintain a log of pending actions or resolutions.
- Assist in preparing Annual Credit Reviews and Problem Loan Reports.
- Analyze loan applications, determine eligibility, and coordinate with Relationship Managers for timely turnaround.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of loan requests; coordinate with appraisal and escrow departments for secured products.
- Provide exceptional assistance and support to all Relationship Managers and Credit Administration.
- Maintain a current understanding of bank underwriting guidelines, policies, and compliance issues.
- Stay up to date on regulatory requirements for documentation and commercial lending.
- Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
- Assist Regional Credit Administrators and Commercial Underwriters on special projects, spreadsheets, and reports.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related work experience preferred.
- Commercial Credit Analyst II requires two years of underwriting or related financial industry experience.
- Knowledge of financial accounting theory, financial statements, commercial products, and services.
- Basic understanding of financial analysis practices, principles, and methods.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple areas.
- Proficiency with personal computers and Windows‑based programs, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Capacity to complete high‑volume tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
