ECC Radiation Oncology Compensation range:$54.38 - $73.41

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

Shift: Days   Days off:
Variable   Hours per pay period: 0-24  Shift length: 8 Hours

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ability to communicate effectively with the pertinent personnel to schedule and coordinate simulation and treatment appointments.  Able to follow directions accurately, both verbally and written.  Under the general supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapist or Director, administers ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist.  Collaborates with nursing, dosimetry, clerical staff and physicians to provide safe and effective care.  

Participates in department quality improvement activities, billing completion, and other projects as directed.

EDUCATION / TRAINING /

EXPERIENCE:

Desired:2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.

Prior clinical experience with Varian Radiation Therapy equipment and software.

Prior experience in the treatment of SRS and SBRT.LICENSES /

CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

Current California State License in Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Current CPR Certification Registered A.R.R.T Radiation Therapist

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Excellent communication, phone etiquette, accurate documentation and organizational skills are essential to function as a Radiation Therapist.  Demonstrates technical competence in techniques required for a Radiation Therapist.  Critical thinking and problem solving are required.  Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with other staff members.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.#
