Maintain current demographic and insurance information in computer and charts; perform office opening procedures, petty cash balancing, co-pay/co-insurance collection, and assist patients as needed. Primary focus: servicing patients in the lobby with backup for phone and other front‑office personnel.

General Summary of Duties- Greeting patients
- Performing check‑in procedures
- Maintaining current demographic and insurance information in computer and chart
- Performing office opening procedures, petty cash balancing, co-pay/co-insurance collection, and assisting patients as needed
- Primary focus is servicing patients in the lobby with backup for phones and other front office personnel
- High School Diploma, with 1–2 years experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures
- Knowledge of computer systems and programs
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Must be able to multi‑task
- Must express compassion and kindness to patients calling and being seen in the office
- Maintain a professional and upbeat attitude
- Skill in written and verbal communication and customer relations
- Ability to work effectively with medical staff, management, authorizations, external agencies, and patients
- Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment
- Normal busy office environment with much patient contact
- Occasional evening or weekend work
