Summary
The Associate Dean reports directly to the Dean of the College of Engineering, Computer Science and Construction Management assisting in leading the Departments, Programs and Centers to carry out the College's mission and goals in conjunction with the University’s strategic plan. The Associate Dean serves as the primary operations administrator of the College and is key member of the College leadership team, along with the Department Chairs, Advancement Director, Program Coordinators and Directors.
The Associate Dean represents the College in the absence of the Dean and works with other university administrators to achieve common goals and outcomes.
Doctorate or appropriate terminal degree or direct experience with one of the disciplines in the College of ECC. Also, direct experience in managing a unit. Teaching, scholarly and creative activity, and service experience sufficient to be tenured within the University.
Preferences- Knowledge of effective supervisory practices and techniques, employee-employer relationships, and the management of a unit
- Knowledge of the principles of planning, managing, and directing committees and program related activities
- Excellent communication, organizational and collaboration skills, including verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Possesses well developed listening, analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Competence in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instructions

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer:
Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm
Administrator III Hiring Range: $82,692 - $265,428 per year. Salary commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected.
