Full-Time Licensed Psychiatric Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse | Chico, CA

As an LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) or LPT (Licensed Psychiatric Technician), you are responsible for providing basic medical services to patients in an outpatient recovery environment; maintaining standards of professional nursing practice, and providing for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with company policy and procedures; and for maintaining thorough documentation of patient records and medical files per state and federal regulations.

• Implement all aspects of receiving, storing, and dispensing controlled and non-controlled substances.
• Perform daily reconciliation of controlled substances as required by federal and state regulations.
• Maintain accurate individual patient medication dosage sheets and urinalysis results as required by regulations.
• Administer medication dosages and evaluate patients for side effects or reactions.
• Document and sign entries in patient treatment records as required by applicable federal and state regulations.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and security at the dispensing window.
• Administer medications to patients who are locally hospitalized as needed.
• Provide appropriate documentation to Medical Director and/or Clinic Manager as required by regulations.
• Ensure that forms are completed in their entirety and maintain patient charts and filing.
• Observe applicable federal and state regulations and maintain knowledge of them.
• Orient new patients to the program’s policies, rules, and procedures.

• Active and current California nursing / technician license (includes Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Psychiatric Technician), along with current CPR and first aid certification.
• Experience with triaging in emergency situations, assisting with medical emergencies.

$25 - $30 per hour
