POSITION SUMMARY:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides nursing care to clinic patients under the supervision of the Licensed Registered Nurse and clinic-based Physicians/Advanced Practice Providers. The LVN contributes their service to the physical and emotional care and education of the patient and family in accordance with the philosophy and standards of Enloe Medical Center.

EDUCATION / TRAINING /

EXPERIENCE:

Desired Six months nursing experience in an acute care setting or one-year nursing experience in a non-acute care setting.

LICENSES /

CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

Current licensure with the California Board of Vocational Nursing Current CPR certification
Desired:

Physician office experience

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family.  Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality always.  Furthers education and clinical skills by attending classes and workshops.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.#
