Security Officer (Full-Time, Temporary, Nights)

Enloe Health, a Level II Trauma Center located in Northern California, is seeking Security Officers for nights. The role is part of a hospital‑wide program to promote safety for employees, patients, visitors, and others. Compensation ranges from $20.26 to $29.45 per hour depending on level and experience. Shift: Nights, 10 hours per shift, variable days off, 80 hours per pay period.

Security Officer I

Responsibilities:
Protect, prevent, observe, and report any situations concerning the hospital, and take appropriate action when necessary. Entry level, ideal for those interested in healthcare, law enforcement, or social work.

Desired qualifications

• Previous security experience
• College level courses in law enforcement, security, or related field, or completion of basic law enforcement training
• Hospital experience
• Previous customer service experience

Minimum qualifications

• California State Consumer Affairs Guard Card obtained before completion of the probationary period (approximately 90 days after hire)
• Current CPR recognition (American Heart Association‑Health Care Provider or American Red Cross – Professional Rescuer) within 90 days of hire

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

• Ability to work standing for long periods
• Follow instructions, policies, and procedures
• Produce concise, accurate, and well‑written reports
• Strong public relations skills
• Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively
• Fulfill essential functions of the position

Security Officer II

Responsibilities are the same as Security Officer I, with additional expectations for experienced staff.

Desired qualifications

• Previous customer service experience
• Hospital experience

Minimum qualifications

• Valid California Driver’s License
• Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (minimum age 21)
• Current California State Consumer Affairs Guard Card
• Current CPR recognition
