Behavior Technician – Childcare and ABA therapy at LEARN Behavioral (BCI)
OverviewAs a Behavior Technician at BCI, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA) in home or center settings.
Responsibilities- Work with kids ages 1–22 with autism and related needs in their homes or at one of our centers.
- Support development of communication, socialization, and self-help skills through play-based ABA therapy.
- Learn about autism, learning differences, ABA, and how to implement evidence-based strategies.
- Potential to be promoted after learning the ropes of ABA, with opportunities for professional development.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Transportation:
Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license; personal vehicle preferred. - Age and work eligibility:
Minimum 18 years old; eligible to work in the United States. - Scheduling and background:
Availability for a consistent weekly schedule (mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings); ability to pass a background check. - Professional development:
Earn eligibility for (RBT) certification. - Other:
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus; experience with children in roles such as babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, or camp counselor; interest in a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, counseling, or related fields.
- Starting pay at $22/hr and up with experience.
- Full-time employees: up to 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) after 90 days.
- Part-time employees: eligible for sick leave.
- Typical duties include working with children with autism and special needs under supervision, following a consistent schedule, and adhering to program plans.
- Physical requirements:
