Medical Assistant

The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will be working between the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) in Chicopee, MA And the Holyoke Appleton Clinic. This is a unique and exciting position for a medical assistant who wants to make a positive impact to the population served.

Your role as a Medical Assistant
:

The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the client’s Behavioral/Mental Health team. You will have the ability to use an electronic medical record for chart review and telehealth appointments, develop supportive relationships with clients, interact with clients in order to assess needs, obtain vital signs, complete PAs, coordination of medical and psychiatric care with clients’ support network ( e.g. family members, other service providers), active collaboration with other agencies to coordinate client treatment, liaison with local pharmacies to fill prescriptions for clients’ medications, and prepare lab requests and obtain results.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• CPR and First Aid Certificate, preferred
• Bilingual is not essential but preferred.
• Clear driving record check
