Alera Group is seeking Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Account Managers for offices in Needham, Milford, Truro, Braintree, Framingham, Fairhaven, Worcester, Hanover, Concord, Massachusetts, North Smithfield, Rhode Island and Long Island, New York. The company, founded in 2017, is the 14th largest broker of US business, offering national resources combined with local service. Candidates will bring highly motivated, experienced professionals to deliver client success in Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services.
Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional service and support for commercial lines insurance clients, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of their needs and concerns.
- Advise clients on coverage options, policy changes, and risk management; provide clear recommendations and manage premium collections.
- Manage and maintain client accounts using Applied Epic, including documentation, policy updates, and proactive follow‑up communication.
- Identify opportunities to round out accounts and cross‑sell additional coverage to maximize value and earn commissions.
- Respond promptly to client and carrier requests, maintaining compliance and minimizing E&O risk.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial lines.
- Valid Massachusetts Property and Casualty License.
- Excellent communication skills with a talent for building strong client relationships.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in insurance agency management software, insurance rating tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Applied Epic experience is a plus.
This position requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager. The salary range is $55,000 to $80,000 per year and the role is commission eligible. Benefits include medical, dental, life and disability insurance, a 401(k), generous paid time off and more.
